Joint Employment

Joint employment is an increasingly popular arrangement between at least two entities active within the contractor supply chain. The most common arrangements are usually between a recruitment agency/end-client and a payroll intermediary such as i4. Both employers have a responsibility to the contractor but may serve different functions. For example, one employer may be in control of payroll, and the other employer in charge of HR.
